This book constitutes a basic textbook in art management, acquaints readers with a verified approach to strategic planning in the field of the arts and offers solutions for successfully handling the negative effects of the environment. The book is published in order to help improve the quality and effectiveness of management in the Czech cultural sphere. At a time when arts organisations have to deal with funding difficulties they have to learn how to plan strategically and creatively in order to produce quality artistic results. The book was published in cooperation with the Embassy of the United States in Prague. The publication is useful as material for study in the field of arts management at Czech university.
